What and Where is Thunder Mountain Ranch ?
Thunder Mountain Ranch is a residential development of custom built homes in West Sedona, AZ. It is located just off Dry Creek Road, 1/2 mile north of State Route 89A, at the foot of Thunder Mountain and Chimney Rock. The Thunder Mountain Ranch Property Owners Association is chartered by the State of Arizona to provide local governance for the mutual interests of the property owners. Our volunteer Board of Directors administers our regulations. Of the 118 lots in this development just over 1/2 are built as of 2018.
Thunder Mountain Ranch is an ideal place to settle and enjoy the scenery, fresh air, scents and warm weather. Our fortunate location provides for easy trailhead access for walks, hikes and mountain biking, as well as a stunning backdrop to magnificant sunsets and a landscape filled with red rocks, pinon pines, juniper, cactus, wildflowers and more. The open environment lends itself to an abundance of natural wildlife including coyote, javelina, deer, roadrunner and jackrabbits.
